I barely made my post this month. Eek. So just a quick update. Until just the last week I have had some health issues that made sitting up and stitching uncomfortable. So a little stitching and more knitting was accomplished. I was also stitching on a couple of commissioned pieces of WiseWoman which are not on the Wipocalypse. <br />
<br />
But, I did some work done on Snapperbets:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9qwcNUHLwLMEOqYjd_P8agd_HcUJyJkUaLxSaEXjIQeUkLxbDKNbZAtLm8tWf_XhQsOYX1ZzURDRXSBCkAXiQ-Oj3Um_lNxC8jXQ76B73vFEc7GNFsSys-bTeDwOmz28UOzz4KvHQ1Tk/s1600/dsc_3430-362x240.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9qwcNUHLwLMEOqYjd_P8agd_HcUJyJkUaLxSaEXjIQeUkLxbDKNbZAtLm8tWf_XhQsOYX1ZzURDRXSBCkAXiQ-Oj3Um_lNxC8jXQ76B73vFEc7GNFsSys-bTeDwOmz28UOzz4KvHQ1Tk/s320/dsc_3430-362x240.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
For knitting projects, I finished a Cambria Shawl:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieExD4gw1m3J_zgnRwTMK0bY58EhqRtyawcuyNvrKZaMI7psmWn5sEw9hNDAFg5Xhz1ffuJQUk_oZDqS9BPdjQPlCKGhPpmIs-I3E3la7jkY9sdzrMr6iFYHVBIGCsZWowrgczBU5kLYM/s1600/dsc_3432-398x240.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieExD4gw1m3J_zgnRwTMK0bY58EhqRtyawcuyNvrKZaMI7psmWn5sEw9hNDAFg5Xhz1ffuJQUk_oZDqS9BPdjQPlCKGhPpmIs-I3E3la7jkY9sdzrMr6iFYHVBIGCsZWowrgczBU5kLYM/s320/dsc_3432-398x240.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
And, I'm almost done with a Hillflowers, just 9.5 repeats and a join and this one will be done:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheFGw-UTZOnYAy_ZZsawCU-tMyiUTKUHqcP6oTqRD5h6H2DLNYlHt6WMpDVZjZcZm_r6RsuFM6l3FMFQVwBNnTKIWH8-2gmsruHKD_rccw2rvb3ZQkehoeNE18g41S7V82QybSqrmGEn0/s1600/dsc_3424-362x240.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheFGw-UTZOnYAy_ZZsawCU-tMyiUTKUHqcP6oTqRD5h6H2DLNYlHt6WMpDVZjZcZm_r6RsuFM6l3FMFQVwBNnTKIWH8-2gmsruHKD_rccw2rvb3ZQkehoeNE18g41S7V82QybSqrmGEn0/s320/dsc_3424-362x240.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Onward into March!!!Lesliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18059458190339830310noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131948445840739965.post-64139303202485593932012-01-29T19:01:00.003-06:002012-01-29T19:10:51.825-06:00The ListsI only have two resolutions for 2012. One is to floss (very successful so far on this one) and the other was to cut back on unnecessary lists. I'm doing well on that one too. But some lists just need to be made. As you know from previous posts, I have cherry picked my WIPs for the 2012 Wipocalyspe. These are the projects I most want to finish this year. But in the name of complete disclosure and also so I don't forget, I have decided to list all WIPs, kitted projects and partially kitted projects, stitching, knitting and quilting.<br />

It just seems that I have been so busy but if you asked me what I have been doing, I don't think I could tell you. However, Susan told me I needed to update my blog and she is so right. Thank you, Susan. (you know which one you are)<br /><br />I have my DH taking pictures of the projects I have been working on and I will post those later but I thought I would just update a little.<br /><br />A really enthusiastic group of stitchers of all types have been working diligently to get our local chapter of the Embroiderer's Guild of America up and running. The local chapter here in San Angelo, Tx has finally be approved and we are full fledged member of the EGA. We are called the Concho Pearl chapter, named after a special gem found only in a certain mollusk in the Concho river. It's kinda purpley-pinky and it is really pretty. <br /><br />My sister in law, as some of you know, is in a nursing care facility with early onset dementia from Frontal Temporal Atrophy. She just had her 60th birthday. We recently moved her to a more specialized facility with an Alzheimer's unit. She is so much happier there. It is quieter than the regular nursing home she was at before and all the patients have similar issues so the staff can really focus on their needs. It was interesting to see the piece on CBS Sunday Morning last Sunday about the rise in Alzheimers and dementia related diseases, especially early onset. I had no idea how prevalent this was until it happened to us. <br /><br />I am a recent Weight Watchers convert and things are going well in that area. I turned 50 this year, got on the scale and went "Crud!" (or words to that effect!) . So I tried the one program I hadn't tried and have lost about 15 pounds so far.<br /><br />I have been stitching away and knitting now to. I will post pictures and try to be better about updating here. <br /><br />By for now!Lesliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18059458190339830310noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131948445840739965.post-31936067032874847102009-08-16T22:41:00.006-05:002009-08-16T22:54:39.760-05:00Finally, I post Something!I can't believe I haven't posted since June 1. Egad! I think it has been just too hot and I am just not motivated. But I have a been busy. I have my craft room about half done. I never knew I had so much STUFF. I am not sure where it is all going to go. lol<br /><br />I have a couple of finishes this month. Finally finished the french knot bunny tail on Miss Fiona Rose Garden by By the Bay.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg95mzh1UAxPS2b0CHI1JPi_uGd-QrugPmsLw3D1FcjdiQfiyWcVdIlSouwV3sHGBnR7ulWg6YtBARsV7blpxRd9gs3nnkr92ESQTXq_UsHDx-zJNkyfrhHYdT097zEmcIci26BrR6867w/s1600-h/dsc0134-320x240.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg95mzh1UAxPS2b0CHI1JPi_uGd-QrugPmsLw3D1FcjdiQfiyWcVdIlSouwV3sHGBnR7ulWg6YtBARsV7blpxRd9gs3nnkr92ESQTXq_UsHDx-zJNkyfrhHYdT097zEmcIci26BrR6867w/s320/dsc0134-320x240.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5370774084642115362" border="0" /></a><br />I have worked on a couple of Halloween projects and finish a special one by La D Da:<br /><img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/owner/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-3.jpg" alt="" /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKaPub_iU7LQO1kRunT3B8HmcBVerETabtEtpML52L2TuEhk_QvLDQTY9iblfVJynRKxLTN4rmJ3KkrcfKEQAZ5nPPYoe2CR5KNy-RnabuWAWsns8Tht4ZjaIH52iFaDZRzlbpk6p-wek/s1600-h/dsc0132-320x240.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKaPub_iU7LQO1kRunT3B8HmcBVerETabtEtpML52L2TuEhk_QvLDQTY9iblfVJynRKxLTN4rmJ3KkrcfKEQAZ5nPPYoe2CR5KNy-RnabuWAWsns8Tht4ZjaIH52iFaDZRzlbpk6p-wek/s320/dsc0132-320x240.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5370774525317458226" border="0" /></a><br />I have a couple more in progress that I need to finish but I little at a time...<br /><br />I recentlly I took up yet another hobby. That means its summer. How did that happen? I got a number of things done in May, stitchy and non-stitchy so I feel like it was a good month. I was a little ambitious in setting my stitching goals so I plan on being a little more conservative this time - snicker!<br /><br />For stitching this month I am going to finish a couple of works in progress, get some work done on a Bap or two and get some of my pieces framed. I also volunteered to help get an EGA chapter started in my area, so if anyone has had experience with, your thoughts are most welcome. I also need to get my crafting room set up. Lots to do!!Lesliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18059458190339830310noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131948445840739965.post-63753396381518033942009-05-31T19:33:00.004-05:002009-05-31T19:48:01.136-05:00Sunday March 31 2009Hi, all. It has been a very busy week. We had our first meeting on the new stitchers group here in San Angelo. Some very nice ladies showed up and it was great to meet them. I learned about a fiber shop here that I did not know about and had time after the meeting to go by. Its called WoolnCotton. Such a neat little store, although mostly knitting, wool and fabric. But it got me interested in expanding my crafting a little. I bought a knitting mag today and, true to form, everything I want to make takes advanced skills. I did the same thing with cross stitching lol. So I figure May Day is a good time to start new. My DH and I have finally moved to San Angelo, Texas. I have spent the last couple of weeks packing and now have to unpack - yuk! But we are here and I love it. It is nice to walk outside and it is warm. I loved living in East Texas and met some of the nicest people there but I miss the warm dry of West Texas .<br /></div><div> </div><div>I am setting up my stitching room - Yahoo! It will take a while but I am stitching along anyway. I have almost finished Miss Fiona Rose Garden but I got to the end of one color and need just a little more. I ordered it and expect it to get here before I am done with the french knots on her tail!<br /></div><div> </div><div>Thanks to the help and patience of my DH, I finally have some picture to show. Next time he will probably take the pictures since I, apparently, can not focus LOL.</div><br /><div>Here are a few WIPS:<br /></div><br /><div>This is the very beginning of Lavender and Lace Fairy Godmother.</div><div><br /></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUpamko4ANRYk5cdmGR8rGxVqwZjIBczLJLR2T5fY8mlctdE1XOvVvKKetQnD4o5HPE2ed8ilLojvkuRo6SUQJsAaHlteJr544LWX4AtcYnTKSg13wR90bxmcwm12d-MoiB-45JYTpXYI/s1600-h/dsc0775-320x240.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330708748839862882" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUpamko4ANRYk5cdmGR8rGxVqwZjIBczLJLR2T5fY8mlctdE1XOvVvKKetQnD4o5HPE2ed8ilLojvkuRo6SUQJsAaHlteJr544LWX4AtcYnTKSg13wR90bxmcwm12d-MoiB-45JYTpXYI/s320/dsc0775-320x240.jpg" border="0" /></a></div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><div> </div><div>Bent Creek Snapperbets</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt0XUE_BVC1_qrPHYa3ldUHvyWaeZJupo1EU-dhLNIA6YWYggXNrq9KMClDDHTsrgHW9S1a_AvuHwXzvWnXaTPufgLAma2QslZGTYkBpa3BDsk9OPzNPV0PiSDXxl7yINHobH1j7kw9GY/s1600-h/dsc0780-320x240.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330709873016875554" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt0XUE_BVC1_qrPHYa3ldUHvyWaeZJupo1EU-dhLNIA6YWYggXNrq9KMClDDHTsrgHW9S1a_AvuHwXzvWnXaTPufgLAma2QslZGTYkBpa3BDsk9OPzNPV0PiSDXxl7yINHobH1j7kw9GY/s320/dsc0780-320x240.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQn4k5QXE9WqsMAzNIi6xqOLtG8WcsH2etc1qC7SkirL72jB9eOB_NHUNIr_jYq7wlclZ0xdmW8kOLUmNLZqLXrpyFQDqTrwuFTdh-4ffSxMaNFxxzmoRopk4HHKzu5jOIepH10lQAEZY/s1600-h/dsc0784-320x240.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330710356516084274" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQn4k5QXE9WqsMAzNIi6xqOLtG8WcsH2etc1qC7SkirL72jB9eOB_NHUNIr_jYq7wlclZ0xdmW8kOLUmNLZqLXrpyFQDqTrwuFTdh-4ffSxMaNFxxzmoRopk4HHKzu5jOIepH10lQAEZY/s320/dsc0784-320x240.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br /><div>Brandon's Garden (Blackwork with hand dyed Waterlilies</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Also in the works I have:</div><div> </div><div>Hanging Gardens of Semiramis - Chatelaine</div><div>Protection - HAED</div><div>Heavenly Grace - P.Buckley Moss</div></div>Lesliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18059458190339830310noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131948445840739965.post-26790979614369612592009-03-05T12:09:00.003-06:002009-03-05T12:19:05.374-06:00It's MarchWell, okay is has been March for a few days. LOL. And a busy March it has been. I wouldn't mind if it would slow down just a little bit.<br /><br />Both my DHs and my cars went kaput and we ended up having to get new ones. We didn't really want to but when the transmission goes (mine), it really isn't work fixing. Thank you to a friend who helped us out with financing. Of course, it rains - well you know that old saying. Two days after signing the papers on the cars, I lost my job. So, I am out hitting the job market and the choices are slim. We have a few more things going on, but I won't whine anymore. <br /><br />But now I do have more time to stitch LOL. I have gotten one of my stash diet done the snapperbet part 1. I am working on pushing up daisies and should have that done by early next week. I think I will pick up one of the bigger projects after that. Now that I don't have access to my work computer, I have to figure out another way to get some photos on this site. I will have to talk to DH. He is the computer whiz and can help me to figure it out.<br /><br />I hope everyone has had a great beginning of March and I will post more later.Lesliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18059458190339830310noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131948445840739965.post-51424685339071162392009-02-08T10:57:00.002-06:002009-02-08T11:05:08.739-06:00February 2009 - New GoalsMost people make resolutions in January.
